Gemmy Industries Corporation, of Coppell, an industry leader in seasonal décor and entertainment, announced the promotion of Jason McCann and Roger Carroll as the company celebrates its 25th anniversary.
McCann, formerly the senior vice president of marketing and product development, will become president of the company. He has been with the company eight years. Carroll, formerly vice president of sales, will become the executive vice president of sales and operations. He has been with Gemmy for 10 years.
Dan Flaherty, the co-founder and owner of the company, will continue in his role as chief executive officer.
Flaherty was proud of the commitment both men have made to the company over the years.
“I have expanded Jason and Roger’s roles because of their leadership skills and devotion to Gemmy, but most of all for their tireless commitment to excellence and passion for the business.” Flaherty said. “What’s more, I know that the company I helped to build will be helmed by the most capable of hands.”
The employees were also happy with the promotions for McCann and Carroll.
“We all have been ecstatic about their promotions,” said Lio Chang creative director for Gemmy. “Jason and Roger have been terrific mentors to all of us at Gemmy; under their leadership and we look forward for them to take us to the next frontier.”
Chang added that McCann and Carroll had provided outstanding leadership.
“This is an exciting time for Gemmy Industries.” McCann said. “From our 2009 line hitting shelves in a few weeks, to new avenues of business opening up in 2010, the company is uniquely positioned to further solidify our place as the leader and trendsetter of the industry. Roger and I are very excited to accept the opportunity and challenge.”
Gemmy Industries was founded in 1984 and since that time, the company has blazed new trails in the categories of Halloween and Christmas decor, including Airblown inflatables, LED lighting, life-size animatronics and licensing.
