Book tournaments are a popular way of generating interest in books, e.g., School Library Journal does an annual Battle of the Books and the Morning News does an annual book tournament.

CHROME EXTENSION

Goodreads Right Click makes it so that once you highlight a title and right click, you can choose to either "search now" (opens Goodreads window with that title) or "search later" (opens a new window with that Goodreads title).

Add to Goodreads recognises ISBN numbers on any site you are browsing an allows you to add them to one of your Goodreads shelves: to read, currently reading, read.
