Civil Engineering
Department of Civil Engineering started along with the establishment of the college. It offers an undergraduate course B.E with an annual intake of 60. It has a well qualified and experienced faculty. The undergraduate program imparts students with mastery in the field of civil engineering besides fluency in mathematics, physics, instrumentation, computers, management and economics - essential requirements for any successful civil engineer. Students gain practical experience from field visits to industries, dams and irrigation structures, construction sites, etc.
The department is establishing contacts to make MOUs with many organizations to conduct research and consultancy activities.

Dr.S.Prashant obtained his B.E. from MCE, Hassan in 1987, M.E. from University of Roorkee, Roorkee in 1996 and Ph.D. from IIT, Roorkee in 2004. He is serving MCE since 1988. He has 1 publication to his credit.

H.A.Vijaya Kumar obtained his B.E.from MCE, Hassan in 1993, and M.Tech. from BMSCE, Bangalore in 2005 and Persuing Ph.D. in UVCE, Bangalore University. He has served UVCE, Department of civil Engineering since 2010. At present he is working as Assistant Professor in Government engineering college, Hassan. His Area of interest is Highway Engineering.

Raghu K obtained his B.E.(Civil Engg.) from RVCE, Bangalore in 2003, and M.Tech.(Environmental Engg.) from BMSCE, Bangalore, presently working as Assistant Professor in Government Engineering College, Hassan. His Area of interest is Application of GIS in Environmental Engineering.
