Purchased 1997 Sea Ray 370 Aft Cabin on April 10, 2023 in San Francisco Ca.
Sea Ray was advertised as for someone looking for a project. That's me, I love projects. Made a great deal because the Sea Ray needed the starboard engine replaced, storm damage to enclosure, and hull, and other TLC details.
Motored it on one engine to Rio Vista and Sierra West Boat Works for repairs on April 17, 2023.
After five months and more problems at Sierra West, motored the boat up the river to Sacramento and after two hours the starboard engine lost a rod bearing.
Decided against returning to Sierra West and in Jan. 2024 motored the boat to J&H Marine in Stockton. Complete engine overhaul.
Now in 2024 enjoying cruising the river.
Family photo before moving the boat on one engine from Pier 39 to Rio Vista for repair.
At Sierra West Boat Works, Rio Vista. Getting rebuilt engines, bottom paint, fiberglass repair, power washing and hull polishing. After 5 months and further problems with the boat overheating, a cracked head and bad rod bearing on the rebuilt block, I brought the boat to Sacramento to repair.
I have replaced all the Isinglass in the helm and sundeck enclosures.
Cleaned by powerwashing everything that came off the boat.
Purchased a dinghy with outboard motor and davit brackets.
Our Sea Ray is berthed at the Sacramento Marina slip A8
Spent several months of cleaning, repairing systems, replacing the refrigerator, sewing in new strataglass for the enclosures, along with new curtains, and rehabbing the boat to our taste.
We are enjoying our cabin on the river.
