Students write the numbers on a set of index cards and the corresponding items on another set of index cards.
Put them in an envelope or ziplock bag.
Start the game by dinging a bell.
Everyone takes out the index cards and put all the items in order with the numbers next to them.
The fastest wins.
Do it a few times.
Variation 1:
Instead of writing, draw the corresponding items.
Variation 2:
Split the class into two groups. Assign a color to each group.
Give each group color papers corresponding to their group name.
Each group writes the numbers on a set of papers and put them in a ziplock bag, then writes the corresponding items on another set of papers and put them in a ziplock bag.
Partner up with another person, and decide who is person A and person B by rock, paper, scissor.
Person A will take out the numbers, and Person B will take out the corresponding items and put the papers face down and mix them up.
Start the game by dinging a bell.
Put the items in order with the numbers next to them.
The fastest team wins.

12 Sons of Jacob Variation 1:
Teacher can pre-draw each character. Have students label the character from oldest to youngest.
Start the game and students put the characters in order.
12 Sons of Jacob Variation 2:
Each student draws one or two characters of the sons of Jacob.
Start the game students line up in the order of the sons of Jacob from oldest to the youngest.
Then sing the song.
Collect the character drawings and redistribute them. Do the game again.
