The NBA 2K20 is the top basketball game on the market, and the player's scoring list has been announced. The Lakers' James is still kings. The following is a detailed description of the Lakers players. Who do you think is the best player in the NBA 2k20?
1. LeBron James
LeBron James at the top of the list with both having a 97 overall rating; He put up 27.4 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 8.3 assists last season, which is almost similar to his production for the Cleveland Cavaliers during their 2017-18 campaign. Coming off the shortest season of his career which was plagued with a groin injury limiting him to only 56 games, LeBron will be looking for revenge this upcoming season. At the age of 34, many are wondering when or if Lebron will ever slow down his MVP caliber play. Each year he is looked like one of if not the world's best player and has been growing in the standings of greatest of all time.
2. Anthony Davis
The cover star of this year's installment is one of the league's brightest and most dominant power forwards in recent times. Teaming up with Lebron James in LA will perhaps give Anthony Davis the push he needs to be discussed as one of the best players in the NBA again. After finishing third in the Most Valuable Player voting a year ago, Davis averaged 25.9 points, 12.0 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 2.4 blocks, and 1.6 assists over 56 games for the New Orleans Pelicans in his seventh NBA season. He finished seventh in points per game, eighth in rebounds, third in blocks and 12th in steals en route to making his sixth straight All-Star appearance. A threat to score from anywhere on the offensive side and one of the best shot blockers and rim defenders in today's modern era, Davis is the full package and teaming up with LeBron will for sure bring some top-notch highlight plays.
3. Kyle Kuzma
Kyle Kuzma is a future star. He is set to help Anthony Davis and LeBron James take the Los Angeles Lakers to the top of the league and last season was a good one for him. Kuzma has proven himself as one of the brightest and most efficient scorers in the NBA and looks to build on this even further. Being one of the last picks of the first round in 2017 he was touted as one of the steals of the draft.
4. DeMarcus Cousins
Once upon a time, the league-wide consensus was that Anthony Davis wasn't the best big man in the league, it was DeMarcus Cousins. Experiencing some grueling injuries over the last few seasons has limited Cousin’s court action but in 30 games with the Golden State Warriors, he still mustered a 16-8-4 stat line. Linking up yet again with Anthony Davis, should Cousins get back to his old self he will warrant discussions as one of the best big men yet again but for now, it is still a mystery how healthy he will be going into the season.
5. Dwight Howard
Dwight Howard used to have the NBA world in the palm of his hands. Coming off the 2008-09 season, where he led the Orlando Magic to an unlikely NBA Finals berth as they beat LeBron James and his Cleveland Cavaliers, Superman was one of the hottest commodities in the league. Last season, Howard only appeared in nine games for the Washington Wizards as he could not recover from a back injury. In those nine games though, he was fairly productive putting up 12.8 points on 62.3% shooting. He also managed to pull down 9.2 rebounds. In 2018 with Charlotte, he was even more effective. He scored 16.6 points on 55.5% shooting, grabbed 12.5 rebounds and was effectively protecting the rim, swatting 1.6 blocks per game.
6. JaVale McGee
JaVale McGee went to the Lakers in the summer of 2018, he was hoping for a more polished role in their rotation. Throughout the season he was granted his wish, averaging over 22 minutes per game — the most since 2012. There's no doubt that JaVale McGee is one of the best dunkers in the NBA. In fact, he should be the reigning NBA Dunk Contest champ after last February's performance in L.A. The only problem is, "Pierre" doesn't always seem to realize the proper time and place to throw down.
7. Danny Green
One of the biggest signings for the Los Angeles Lakers this offseason was the team bringing in Danny Green. The reigning NBA Champion was essential for the Toronto Raptors to run at the title this year, Green possesses a unique set of skills that make him so wanted by every team. He is one of the best defenders in the league for his size and is lights out from the three-point line, with this Laker's lineup lacking shooting he brings the perfect skill set to the table.
8. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
After the Lakers struggled out of the gate last season, the contract of Kentavious Caldwell-Pope was an oft-cited asset in Lakers circles when the pressure was rising to improve their team. Caldwell-Pope as one of the more reliable players for the Lakers, playing 82 games for the second time in his career. Caldwell-Pope also rated well in pick-and-roll situations in limited time, but he won't be asked to do that very much this season if all things go as planned. But one skill he did flash last season, an ability to cut away from the ball, could be a boon to the Lakers to complement his strong spot-up play.
9. Rajon Rondo
Rajon Rondo has never been much of a scorer as his skill set has always allowed him to be one of the NBA's most pure point guards. He's cut from the older mold where the point would look to distribute the ball whereas the modern point needs to also be a threat scoring the ball as well. He’s no longer the defender he used to be, but he's still a top-tier playmaker.
10. Avery Bradley
Avery Bradley has experienced a rocky past couple of seasons in his career, bouncing between multiple teams we know the guard for his stellar defense and his spot-up three-point shooting. There is a chance Bradley squeaks into the starting lineup for the Laker's this season but even coming off of the bench he is a nice addition to this lineup.
