Best Stealers in NBA 2K20

Despite the controversy surrounding NBA 2k20, fans continue to get into the game every day, whether it's MyPlayer or building their dream teams in MyLeague. In the game, you will pass, dribble, three-point shot and so on. However, when defending, it is best to remember that you can always steal the ball. Here are the best stealers in NBA 2k20.

Marcus Smart

Marcus Smart's inclusion in the NBA All-Defensive first team for the first time was one of few positives for the Celtics. The former sixth overall pick for the Celtics has been a part of their young core that could dominant throughout the NBA. Smart possesses a solid defensive arsenal as he can lock down essentially any opponent in the league.

Chris Paul

Chris Paul is undoubtedly one of the best PG's that the NBA has seen in recent times, let's not forget his spot on the 2010 All-Decade team. Paul tried to help the Rockets get to the NBA Finals, but they fell short. He has since been traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder. This is all coming off of a season where he scored the fewest points per game in his career. Last season he averaged just 15.6 points per game, and still was given an 85 overall rating (initially believed to be 87). CP3 has always been known for his quick hands and his ability to pickpocket anyone.

Kawhi Leonard

Kawhi Leonard may be known for many for his attacking flair, however, a two-time Defensive Player of the Year, the Clippers star is undoubtedly one of the best defenders in the NBA, particularly from around the arc. Kawhi Leonard is not only one of the best small forwards in 2K20, but one of the two best players in the entire game. The Klaw had a marvelous season last year, taking the Toronto Raptors to win their first-ever NBA championship. He was given a 97 overall rating for this new edition of the video game.

Nerlens Noel

Nerlens Noel has had a rocky start to his NBA career thus far, bouncing around a few teams over the last few seasons hasn't changed the fact he has some of the fastest hands for a big man. A career average of 1.4 steals a game is nothing to laugh about and a lot of teams should be eyeing him this upcoming season.

Thabo Sefolosha

Thabo Sefolosha's versatility makes him so valuable a player- he essentially is put anywhere on a lineup. Regardless of the team, tell Sefolosha his role, and he will perform it to the best of his abilities. His offensive role is reducing to the point he's mostly a catch-and-launch specialist (78 of his 149 shot attempts were threes in 2018-19). Last season, he not only posted his second-best three-point percentage (43.6), but he also finished third among small forwards in ESPN.com's defensive real plus-minus (2.33). One big concern with him is his durability- he has played 70+ games only five times in his fifteen-year career. Thabo has been known for his solid play off the bench and his ability to annoy any player with his 90 steal rating.

Robert Covington

Robert Covington fights between screens, can guard 3 different spots on the floor, takes charges, and is a great spot-up shooter. He’ll give them much-needed shooting at the wings and is a top-notch stopper. Covington has become one of the most sought after players in the NBA as of late, his mix of amazing defense along with his natural three-point shooting has made him a must-have player for any NBA roster.

De'Anthony Melton

De'Anthony Melton is the perfect 'swiss army knife' guy on this Grizzlies young roster. The former second-round pick has warranted himself an NBA roster spot due to his impeccable defense this far. Look out for Melton to play a significant part in the Grizzles rebuild over the next couple of seasons.
