Best Atlanta Hawks Cards in NBA 2k20 MyTEAM

There are a lot of Best Atlanta Hawks cards in NBA 2k20 MyTEAM that are worth collecting. Here, I pick the eight best cards and rank them, some of whom can turn a team into an unstoppable force.

Let's take a look at the top eight Atlanta Hawks 2K20 MyTeam cards:

#8 – 95 Lou Hudson

Joining Williams is yet another 95 rated Atlanta Hawks legend, this time in the form of 'Sweet Lou', Lou Hudson.

Hudson initially played for the St Louis Hawks for two seasons before their relocation to Atlanta, wasting no time in making himself a fan favorite for his new locals.

He averaged 20.2 PPG across a 13 year NBA career and had his iconic number 23 jersey retired by the Hawks at the end of his career.

The small forward/shooting guard is a great perimeter scorer, and has a high release, letting him shoot over defenders. His 91 three-point and 95 shot mid are complemented by Difficult Shots (hall of fame) and Flexible Release (gold) badges, letting him shoot both off the dribble or on a catch-and-shoot. His 94 driving layup is nice, but Hudson has so-so dunk stats and little to no post moves. But his 98 offensive consistency will help him to continue to make buckets all game.

His reaction time, steal and shot contest ratings are all under 80, but his lateral quickness and perimeter defense ratings let him at least stay in front of opposing offenders. Hudson works best as a sixth man, and with good ball-handling and athleticism ratings, can run an offense from the small forward position.

#7 – 96 Bob Pettit

Despite the NBA not having a three-point line when Bob Pettit played, 2K must have seen enough game film on Pettit to list him as a floor-spacing center. Though a severe ankle sprain admittedly limited the great Boston defender, it was Pettit who deserves credit for doing just about everything for the St. Louis Hawks.

As successful as the Hawks were during those early years, they were still virtually a one-man team. Averaging 31.83 Career Contributions per season is just ridiculous, and it's rather easily the top number boasted by any player either featured or in the honorable mentions for these rankings.

Pettit even earned himself an LMVP, granted for his efforts during the 1955-56 season, which was his second year in the Association. Playing for the 33-39 Hawks, who outperformed their regular-season record and advanced to the Western Division Finals, the 6'9" big man earned 13.8 win shares, allowing him to put up 40.65 Career Contributions in a single season.

The 96 overall can play both powers forward and center and his great rebounding ratings offset his small-ish frame.

He carries some of the best halls of fame badges like Catch & Shoot, Green Machine, Deadeye, Corner Specialist and Post Spin Technician, which makes him one of the best Atlanta big men in the game.

The 96 overall version of the card can be had for less than 50K, occasionally less. Bob is a fun center to use, especially if you're fortunate enough to have him coming off the bench.

#6 – 95 Cam Reddish

This diamond Cam Reddish can be had for free, and all you need to do is beat the Hawks' sim challenge. If you're able to do that, you'll be rewarded with a very good Reddish card, his first card since his base 74 overall card.

Predominantly a small forward who has impressive size and athleticism, Reddish should make for an exciting prospect to get your hands on when 2K20 drops in September. The rookie carries 95 perimeter defense, 95 steals, 95 lateral quickness, 95 speed, 95 defensive consistency, and 95 pass perception, making him an incredibly talented defender.

Reddish owns hall of fame Clamps, Pick Pocket, Intimidator, and Tireless Defender badges, which are regarded as the best defensive badges.

On offense, he's good as well and can make his own shots. He has 90 balls handling along with the aforementioned 95 speed and can blow past slower defenders to finish with authority, carrying a 95 driving dunk.

Reddish boasted an impressive enough 33% from three-point range during his time with Duke last year. His three-point rating of 92 is complemented by a buttery release that's easy to time and all the best shooting badges.

He'll now be playing as a piece of a young Atlanta Hawks roster that has assembled a young nucleus of talent with Trae Young, De'Andre Hunter, and himself. They all compliment each other's games and can take the pressure and burden off of one another.

The Atlanta Hawks are meticulously building a solid roster with huge potential. Reddish is a key part of that future and should be a solid player to use within 2K.

#5 – 97 Paul Millsap

Since arriving in the league, Paul Millsap has been one of the most consistent players you'll find anywhere. He's kind of a jack of all trades. Millsap can do a little bit of everything, from playing in the low post grabbing rebounds to passing to shooting and most other things.

This throwback card makes him a lockdown defender, inside and out. He has great athleticism ratings at 6'8 and can play physical D at either forward position.

On offense, he can be both a spot-up floor-spacer and a post scorer. He has a 92 post hook and 89 post-fade, with ideal animations for both.

He owns both Pick & Popper and Catch & Shoot badges at the hall of fame level, making him a great option to get some easy threes with a pick-and-fade. He has a 90 three-point rating and enough speed and ball-handling to drive to the rim after a pump fake.

The rebound ratings and badges could be better, and he can be bullied if the opponent is playing a center out of position at the four. His stout defense and varied offensive styles make up for that, however.

Millsap is one of the best pink diamond token reward cards. Just to unlock Millsap, you'll have to rack up a whopping 1,230 tokens. You won't regret saving up for him if you choose to do so.

#4 – 98 Trae Young

The Rookie of the Year runner-up already plays NBA basketball like it's 2K, so Trae Young's an obvious candidate to be an absolute cheat code.

The point guard is averaging 28.9 points per game (PPG), 8.4 assists per game (APG), and 4.5 rebounds per game (RPG). As a result, this season he has seen a rise from 85 launch ratings up to his current 90.

Although he does have a 96 three and 94 mid-range rating, Trae's best while scoring in the paint. His floater seems to go in 9/10 times for me, even if he's being covered. Hall of fame badges like Gaint Slayer, Tear Dropper and Contact Finisher are all felt when using him.

As with cards of his, Trae's downfall is his defense, although this 98 overall version of him is at least mediocre at defense, not outright awful. He carries a 79 perimeter defense rating and is helped with an 85 steal rating. He's not Magic Johnson or anything out there, but can at least provide some resistance to opponents.

2K is so often about who can hit the most three-point shots and dominate from deep and that's exactly what you get with the Atlanta Hawks star.

Trae is a fantastic overall scorer, and if you use him more as a second option on offense, it becomes a lot better. He's an elite catch-and-shoot card.

The highest-rated Trae card in the game is also one of the most fun cards I've used all year.

#3 – 99 Dominique Wilkins

The first, and most expensive, name in the top five budget small forwards is Atlanta Hawks legend Dominique Wilkins.

Wilkins had an illustrious career in the NBA, playing for five sides in the competition across his 17-year career, making 9 All-Star appearances in that time.

His card is assigned to the '85-'86 Atlanta Hawks, where he finished the season as the NBA's scoring champion, averaging 30.3 PPG.

The 99 overall opals of Wilkins got the short end of the stick a bit, being the first opal added into the game. Because he doesn't have the same type of stats or badges that opals released today do. The 99 Wilkins is a reward for winning one thousand Triple Threat games offline, which each take between 10-15 minutes.

If you're able to get him, you'll get a great inside scorer, one who carries 98 driving layup and dunk ratings. He can also shoot from deep, from mid-range and basically from all over. He's a great offensive card.

Unfortunately, he has just eight badges (27 less than the #1 player on this list), and none of them are on defense. Wilkins has respectable enough defensive ratings, but nothing that's going to jump off the screen in a game.

Wilkins earned the nickname 'The Human Highlight Film' due to his crazy dunking ability (98 driving dunk), and is sure to drop you some highlight-reel worthy dunks should you select him as your SF.

#2 – 97 Christian Laettner

The newest card on this list, Christian Laettner was added just this past weekend in 2K's 'Campus Legends' set, obviously honoring his time with Duke.

Laettner started his career in Minnesota with the Timberwolves, staying there for four seasons before making the move to Atlanta. It was in his time with Atlanta where he made his first and only NBA All-Star appearance in 1997.

Whilst his NBA record is impressive, Laettner is better remembered for his time in college playing in the NCAA, with his time with the Duke Blue Devils regarded as one of the greatest in the history of the competition.

Christian's hustle is his top-rated stat (95 OVR) and rightly so, he grafted from the first whistle to the last, picking up a whopping 5,806 rebounds in his NBA career (88 OVR).

This 97 overall Laettner is a great two-way center, who can get buckets on one end and block them on the other. He's incredibly fun to use in the post with his post hook and post-fade ratings both being at 98.

His 89 interior defense is good, and his perimeter defense of 80 is very good for the 6'11 center/forward. Laettner's offensive and defensive rebound ratings both sit at 93, which are good but not fantastic.

He comes with 28 halls of fame badges, more than anyone on this list besides the #1 spot. Highlights of those badges include Deep Hooks, Putback boss, Corner Specialist (to go along with his 96 three-point ratings), Tireless Scorer, Dream Shake, Quick Draw and Deadeye.

As a new release, it's hard to say where he'll settle at, but if you like to score in the post, Laettner could be worth breaking the bank for.

#1 – 99 Josh Smith

Josh Smith deserves to be on the All-Time Atlanta Hawks if you look at some of the players who are currently on that roster.

Everything you see in Philips Arena pales in comparison to the Josh Smith dunk. That includes the Crawford crossovers, the Johnson step backs, and yes, the Pachulia tussles.

This lefty has been an expert slammer, a master of the hammer down, a perennial dunker since his rookie year when he was the slam dunk contest champion.

Josh Smith's lefty tomahawks are brutal and utterly nasty—just ask Mr. Najera from the video to your left.

This Josh Smith card is the best card in the game, regardless of the team. The 99 overall token rewards can do everything on the court, and do it on an elite level.

All but one (passing vision) of his ratings are over 80, with most of the important ones being over 90. His driving layup and dunk are both 98's, as is his shot close. He's not going to miss much down low, and even if he does, he's going to the line. Smith has a 97 draw foul rating, able to finish those off with an 89 free throw rating.

On the perimeter he's just as deadly, boasting a 90 three-point rating with a great release and all the best badges.

On defense is where he makes the case to be the best card in the game. All of his defensive ratings are 92 or higher, with an interior and perimeter rating of 95. With 97 steals and 97 pass perception, no pass is safe.

While his block should be 99, a rating of 97 will get the job done there, as will the 95 shot contest. He has 13 halls of fame defensive badges, and with 94 speed, no one is getting past him. If J-Smoove is on your team, no opposing offense should feel safe.
