• Barbara Brown Taylor received her B.A. in religion and her Master of Divinity degree by 1976

• She became a priest in 1984

  • Her skills led her to be known as one of the best preachers in the world

• Taylor was the pastor pastor of several churches before deciding to leave

  • She described this experience in her memoir in 2006: "Leaving Church."

• She is a teacher at Piedmont College and serves as professor of spirituality

• Barbara Brown currently lives in Northeast Georgia
