Burial Records

If you are trying to find a grave in the Higher Cemetery, your first place to look should be the Exeter City Council's alphabetical index cards at

These are the original hand written records, for 1866-2005 presented as pdf files.  You can also search records at www.deceasedonline.com

The Friends of Higher Cemetery may be able to provide further information about finding a grave if you email us at fohcexeter@gmail.com  

Alternatively,  Exeter City Council will search the burial registers for a maximum fee of £221-10 (2025-26 price).
