Friends of Higher Cemetery

Friends of Higher Cemetery was formed in 2011, to promote Exeter’s Higher Cemetery as a place of remembrance and as a public amenity. We are a non-profit making group of volunteers. 

Meetings are held approximately once a month, except in winter, for talks by guest speakers and for guided walks around the cemetery. Anyone is welcome to attend these events.

We aim to complement the services of Exeter City Council who operate the cemetery. 

Membership is open to anyone who is interested in this beautiful and important place.
