Walking meditation is a practice of being in the present moment.
You can facilitate this practice by walking slowly, by focusing on the connection between your feet and the earth, by focusing on the relationship between your walking steps and your breathing in and out, and by focusing on the surroundings in which you are walking.
With each step you might say a line of the following verse silently to yourself.
I have arrived.
I am home.
In the here
And in the now.
In the ultimate
Every step taken in this way is peace for you and for the earth.
