Franklin Mint Diecast Model 1/43
This model 1962 Thunderbird was the coolest car around, with jet-age styling, bucket seat, white wall tires and Kelsey-Hayes chrome wire wheels. The car was modeled as a sculptural entity, with its projectile look of unbroken line and form.
The convertible top of the Sports Roadster featured a fiberglass tonneau cover that covered the rear seat, giving it the streamlined two-seater racer look purists loved, but removable to make it a four-passenger car. Its bucket seats featured large headrests, and in combination with the cockpit styling of the dashboard, it gave a futuristic sense of in-flight perfomance that was part of its charm. 1:43 model with Hollywood`s body color holds the magic of this car.
