1956 Ford Thunderbird
Two-seat Ford Thunderbird was a direct response to the new 1953 Chevrolet Corvette. The famous two-seat 1955 Ford Thunderbird was founded in 1954 as a completely new concept. With this car, Ford decided to attack the competitive General Motors. Ford designers have estimated what might have conceptually new Chevrolet Corvette weaknesses. Corvette had light body of the resin, but the repair of such revolutionary technologies not yet ready to service network. Thunderbird got so classic metal body on chassis frame. Corvette was like the British roadsters less comfortable.Thunderbird engineers therefore have relied on convenience in the car,and a larger trunk.
For the year 1956 Ford Thunderbird had minimal changes. The main innovation was a continental kit - spare wheel located on the extended superstructure rear bumper, which was then very fashionable for cars that were causing sports. Removable roof hips to get the so-called opera window. The car had a V8 engine with a respectable 225 hp power and provide excellent comfort.
Thunderbird, or T-Bird style is so beautiful that it is very often a template die cast models in all sizes.
