FOR PROSPECTIVE LAB MEMBERS & VOLUNTEERS
The CTFS-ForestGEO Ecosystems & Climate lab at the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute (Front Royal, VA) is a talented, diverse, international team of researchers committed to understanding forest interactions with a changing climate system. The lab includes postdocs, interns (most of whom have a BS and sometimes an MS), and other professionals/ academics. Starting fall 2018, there is an opportunity for PhD students to join the lab through the Smithsonian - Mason School for Conservation (SMSC). We regularly benefit from the participation of SMSC practicum students, and welcome visitors and volunteers who are committed to research and whose research interests overlap with our own. We are strongly committed to diversity in science, and especially welcome inquiries from underrepresented minorities and women.
