Who We Are
Welcome to the Florence Woman's Club Website!  We are a member of the General Federation of Women's Club, the GFWC. If this is your first viewing of our site, we hope you will take a little time to learn about this dynamic group of Northern Kentucky women.  We collaborate on a variety of community service projects and sponsor one major fundraiser per year. The members have become friends over the years, so our meetings are really enjoyable.  The Club generally meets the third Tuesday of the month, beginning at 1:00 pm.  Meetings will be held at the New Gathering House of the Florence Nature Park, located at 7200 Nature Park Dr.(off Banklick St.) Florence, KY. beginning May 2019. Come early, enjoy a light lunch and to network!
The Florence Woman’s Club is an organization that was formed in 1954. We have dedicated over 65 years of community service, benefiting numerous charities serving Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati.  Our Club flower is the hyacinth.
We feel blessed to have many dynamic members of all ages with a strong sense of friendship, as well as a common purpose to help those in need.
We have one large fundraiser a year, plus service projects that promote education, conservation, arts, public issues, and international outreach in the community.

Greetings to all our FWC Members and guests!  Hopefully, with the new Covid vaccine and a New Year of 2021, our lives and world will be a much better place...😇

NOTICE:  The first thing I want you to be aware of is some information for the Covid-19 vaccine. Mary Alice Gruden forwarded me this information so I could pass it on to you:
We now know that COVID-19 vaccinations are being scheduled by St.Elizabeth's for those over 70. Those of you who do not fit in that category may want to pass this information to others. If you have a My Chart account, it's easy to schedule an appointment to get this immunization. If not, go to this link: https://www.stelizabeth.com/covid-vaccine and give it a try.  Get your shot!  It's important, my dear friends.

**January meeting is cancelled.

We are currently trying to schedule a Zoom meeting for February. Sharon will send out the details for accessing the virtual meeting.  There will also be a phone alternative to the Zoom meeting.  More info. To come.  Also, be sure to mail your $40 membership dues to Lynda Zelenek,  if you haven't paid them already.    We will also review the ByLaws and discuss possible changes, etc.  Also, discussing alternatives for April luncheon.  And hopefully seeing you all maybe March or April, for a regular meeting.  Joyce is checking on Gathering House opening.  (Libraries are still closed for meetings.)

(DUE TO CONCERNS ABOUT THE CORONA VIRUS, our meeting updates will also be announced via email  Stay tuned as they occur!)

***We are probably postponing our April Annual Cancer Luncheon.  $40 pp or tables of 8 for $300.  Hang on to your silent auction items.  We will also have a live auction for Reds tickets.  More to come on rescheduling.

We have had recent losses, as you know.  Wilma Day, Sherrie Lou Noel and JoAnn Knock have all lost their husbands in the past several weeks.  LaVerne Lawson passed away recently also.  We made her an Honorary special member of our club, after many years of service.  We are praying for Wilma, Sherrie Lou and JoAnn and sending love to them all...

**** Please make note of all the above changes. 🙋

And lastly, be sure to heed the Governor's updates and announcements relating to Covid.  We will all pray for this virus to be over soon.  Take care of yourselves...

In closing, keep our ill members in your prayers... Sherrie Lou Noel, Betsy Conrad, Wilma Day, Pat Yannarella and Rita Bitter.  We are hoping for speedy recoveries.

We are collecting dues of $40, which began last year in August, for the new year.  Mail your checks for membership to Lynda Nezelek at 1413 Cordero Ct., Union, KY 41091.  As well, we will have to redo the new hostess schedule going through June of 2021 ...(When Available, the Schedule will be shown on the Website "Agendas" Drop Down Page.)
