Florence Woman's Club
Welcome to the Florence Woman's Club Website!
We hope you will take a little time to learn about this dynamic group of Northern Kentucky women. We are a member of the General Federation of Women's Club, the GFWC.
The Club generally meets the third Tuesday of the month, beginning at 1:00 pm. Meetings will be held at the New Gathering House of the Florence Nature Park, located at 7200 Nature Park Dr. (off Banklick St.) Florence, KY.
Come early, enjoy a light lunch and to network!
The Florence Woman’s Club is an organization that was formed in 1954. We have dedicated over 65 years of community service, benefiting numerous charities serving Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati.
We collaborate on a variety of community service projects and sponsor one major fundraiser per year plus service projects that promote education, conservation, arts, public issues, and international outreach in the community. The members have become friends over the years, so our meetings are really enjoyable. We feel blessed to have many dynamic members of all ages with a strong sense of friendship, as well as a common purpose to help those in need. Our Club flower is the hyacinth.

We are all so proud of our President, Sharon Price, for being elected and installed as the next 5th/6th Governor, taking office in Spring/Summer of 2022. Current Governor is Bev Pilgram, of Bettie Carter Morgan women's group, and member of GFWCKY. Go Sharon! Our club hosted the district meeting on October 16th, noon to 3:00 PM. October 16th was the GFWC Luncheon held at the Boone County Historic Preservation Building (the old Courthouse), 2950 Washington St., Burlington, KY.
Our Christmas Party was held at Triple Crown C.C. on December 21st, 2021. All decided to bring canned/pantry items for GO Pantry at this event. We had several guests and two new members! We had a great time with the Dulcimer Hills of Kentucky group entertaining us with Christmas carols and holiday spirit singalongs...
We will be making plans for the next year Annual Fundraiser Luncheon at Triple Crown CC in the coming months so let Sharon or Joyce know if you have some ideas for a theme, speakers, etc.
Our own Joyce Foley made her annual Veteran Quilt donation and it was beautiful!
Notes From The President
Our Annual Christmas/Holiday Luncheon was held at Triple Crown Country Club on Tuesday, December 21st. We had a good turnout with visitors and a couple new members as well. Festive attire, photo of the group, with and without quilts we all made for the animal shelter. It had been decided that members will donate either money or food items for GOPantry, a non profit which benefits and feeds underprivileged kids over the holidays (Go Boxes). Chris Sturgil headed this up. We donated a $120 that will be matched by Meijer's Store; they will double any amount of dollars we bring in, using their gift card program. Each GoBox costs $50, so money is needed to buy supplies for our kids. Contact Chris for pickup or for more information. 859/816-6660. Chris delivered two boxes of food items before the school break.
We have two new members - Yay! Bev Pilgram and Teri Friend. Our new Board members are: Sharon Price, Joyce Foley, Bev Pilgram. We are so happy to have all both as part of our club. You both bring so much talent and background to our members.
Remember, our year begins January through December. Mail your $40 checks for membership to Sharon Price. Dues for our year of 2022.
