ORPT at the Ridge June 15 2014 with Mark C and JCM5
Mark C was kind enough to trailer my bike to the Ridge.

vid of Mark? a few minutes before the pile up started by an exhaust in the middle of the track:
Session 5 had a very bad pile up:
I was doing Level 3 Sessions (Expert level, where the real racers practice), partly because intermediate was full,
but also, despite what follows, I'd rather be passed by an expert than some of the crazy intermediates
that think they are experts.
First session was light rain, so it was me and 3 other bikes. Whole track to myself.
2nd session, mostly dry, about 10 bikes out. Great fun.
3rd session dry, about 15 bikes out. Still great time.
4th session dry, about 22 bikes out, a bit too many, bunching up, getting crowded in the bends.
5th session, close to 30 bikes were going out. I don't like the track when it gets that
crowded, as shit happens. So I sat that one out. Great decisions, as I could have been in the middle of this:
Bike on left is one that flew, and then burnt.

Seems that the guy in blue was life flighted as a precaution, but went home late that night. I assume the other people that left
in ambulances also were relatively ok.
