I designed a new fluke in 3D, made 1/8" layers for a solid leading edge, and had Fremont Laser & Design laser cut the layers in marine-grade 1/8" thick plywood.
I bonded the layers together with resin, and gave the solid leading edge a light sanding.
My first run at bonding the rubber sheet to the leading edge did not work -- regular caulk would not adhere to the rubber. But 3M 5200 Marine Grade bonding material did the trick.
Next is coating the fluke with liquid urethane. It will look good.
