At Ferryhill School, careers education supports all students to make informed choices and raises aspirations. Our careers programme is planned across Years 7–11 to ensure that pupils progressively develop the knowledge and skills they need for future education, training and work.

This website provides information about careers education, guidance and progression opportunities at Ferryhill School. It brings together key resources, advice and support to help students make informed decisions at important transition points. Careers guidance at Ferryhill School is independent, impartial and focused on supporting students to explore the full range of post-16 and post-18 pathways, including further education, apprenticeships, technical education and employment. Students are encouraged to consider all options and are supported to make choices that are right for them.

We use a wide range of different contacts including our alumni, local employers, parents, training providers and further & higher education establishments to help students understand where different choices can take them in the future.
