Our Careers Vision

At Ferryhill School, careers education supports all students to make informed choices and raises aspirations. Our careers programme is planned across Years 7–11 to ensure that pupils progressively develop the knowledge and skills they need for future education, training and work.

Careers guidance at Ferryhill School is independent, impartial and focused on supporting students to explore the full range of post-16 and post-18 pathways, including further education, apprenticeships, technical education and employment. Students are encouraged to consider all options and are supported to make choices that are right for them.

Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) forms an integral part of student life at Ferryhill School. We encourage all students to develop high aspirations and consider a broad and ambitious range of careers. We use a wide range of different contacts including our alumni, local employers, parents, training providers and further & higher education establishments to help students understand where different choices can take them in the future.
