Jon Webber gave a short presentation on the Experimental Philosophy Dataverse at our workshop in September. The project is now on-line and he sends us the following message (edited slightly):
"Thank you for your attention at my talk on the Experimental Philosophy Dataverse at this year's Experimental Philosophy Group UK conference.
The next stage of the project is to steadily increase the amount and the diversity of data files in the repository. So if you would like to set up an account and add your data, then please do. At present, we are only accepting data files that are discussed in papers that have been published or accepted for publication. Also, do remember that we are not asking you to hand your data over. We are asking you to set up an account and make your data available through that. You retain control over the data files.
Here is how to do it:
Once you have done this, you can start adding your data files to the Dataverse Network. Please complete as many of the information boxes as you can. For our purposes, the Abstract of the paper that discusses the data is crucial: our categorisation currently uses this information only. Having added a data file, you then need to make it available through the Experimental Philosophy Dataverse. (In principle, you could make the same file available through other repositories hosted on the same site, if you find any that are appropriate.)
At present, you need our permission to do this. So please request permission by emailing your Username to Natasha Wynne: WynneN@cardiff.ac.uk And at that point: welcome aboard!
If you have any questions about this, please do email me back: webberj1@cardiff.ac.uk
Otherwise, I look forward to seeing more data!"
