Timeline is a visual editor that runs on top of Playmaker for Unity3D.
It is the editor used to create experiments for the eVRS project.
The timeline editor allows to create and run Complex VR experiments using Unity, RTX and a bunch of different external Hardware including CyberGlove, Vicon Tracker, VRPN peripherals and Arrington Research EyeTracker.
The authoring can be done on any computer with Unity3D (Free/Pro) and Playmaker Installed.
The execution will only work on Pro if you use any external Hardware, and on a dedicated SpaceApplications Platform If you need precision and trueness (ISO 5725) such as EEG experiments.
On top of Playmaker features, the Timeline editor supports Linear editing which is more adapted to Precise Neuroscientific experiments generation. With the editor you can:
Create Tracks on GameObjects and Manage them
Quickly Add Actions to a Track, in a linear fashion and tweak parameters
Manage Events and Variables
Save / Load Tracks and Timelines to Readable Files
Copy / Paste Multiple Actions
Send Signals to external Hardware for Marker Synchronization
Currently, eVRS experiments can be run using :
Occulus - Rift : Head Mounted Display
Sencis - Zsight : Head Mounted Display
Arrington Research - PC 60: Head Mounted EyeTrackers
SMI - Red 250: Desktop EyeTracker
Vicon - Bonita / Vicon Tracker VRPN : Full body Motion Capture
ANT - WaveGuard / Amplifier : EEG Parallel Amplifier
CyberTouch - CyberGlove : CyberGlove
