Meeting and Greeting
in the nostalgically atmospheric Teviot Lounge Bar
Glee Clubbers can re-connect with others with whom they sang, meet those who sang before or after them, and introduce their partners to those who made it happen.
Buffet supper (8.00 pm) and cash bar (all evening).
Perhaps we shall spontaneously burst into some of the songs into which we burst during and after Glee Club Shows, during Border Raids and on the open-top bus or processional lorry during Charities Week (but not necessarily ALL the songs –
ladies will be present and will we hope, join in)

Nicolson Square Methodist Church
Workshop Rehearsal for former Glee Clubbers
Workshop rehearsal on music from the Glee Club’s repertoires for performing
at the Reunion Dinner this evening, to be conducted by
David Bruce, founder conductor of the Glee Club.
Music will be provided, but how are your memories?
Are your voices what they were and as they were 40, 50 or 60 years ago?
Ladies, we suggest that you gather for coffee in the Coffee Bar on the First Floor of the newly refurbished National Museum of Scotland in Chambers Street at or about 10.30 am (the Museum opens at 10.00) and rejoin us at Nicolson Square Church at 12.00
12.00 noon – 2.00 pm
Lunch for Glee Clubbers and partners
at your own desire and expense and with those whom you choose
at one of the many lunch places in and around Nicolson and Bristo Squares.
2.00 - 4.00 pm
Nostalgic Walking Tour
for Glee Clubbers and partners, of the University of Edinburgh to revisit some old haunts (or the sites of old haunts) which Glee Clubbers still hold dear.
Reconvene in front of Teviot Row House at 2.00 pm.
After this, our time is our own until …
7.00 pm to 11.00 pm
Reunion Dinner and Concert
Prestonfield Suite, Pollock Halls of Residence
7.00 pm. Reception. Cash bar all evening.
7.30 pm. Reunion Dinner
after which there will be a concert of well-loved music by former members of
Edinburgh University Glee Club for their accompanying ladies
11.00 pm ‘Good night, Ladies …’
Dress: lounge suits or equivalent – Glee Club ties if possible
Sunday 29 April

Peter’s Yard Coffee House & Bakery, Quartermile,
Middle Meadow Walk
(opposite the NW corner of George Square)
Come for a farewell coffee or brunch, and depart at will
Talk over the Gaudeamus Weekend and wonder about the future.
Exchange email addresses, postal addresses (for Christmas card lists)
and telephone numbers, and digital photographs.
‘Happy to meet, sorry to part, happy to meet again’.
