Wrap-up and Conclusions

Congratulations! You have almost finished this course. It is our last lesson in this course. In other words, we will have very intensive class work. Be sure, you participate course activities timely. Take a look for the lesson activity which will give you better ideas what activities that you should participate.

This is our last lesson. I would like you to wrap-up the course. I encourage you to submit discussion questions that you think are valuable for us to discuss to the Open Forum. Please forward your discussion questions to the instructor for approval first.

Does technology give people knowledge? If yes, then perhaps we can say that humans today are smarter than humans living without technology thousands of years ago. Is this true? Another question that we discussed is interaction throughout the semester. It seems that we agree that more interaction is what we are searching for. If this is true, we can make a statement: the more interaction the better. However, let us ask, how much is necessary? These are critical questions that I usually ask students to mull over. I would like for you to do this as well. Keeping these questions in mind will assist us to gain a better understanding about technology and to realize the meaning of life.

Final Project Sharing

In the last lesson of this course, students are required to read and critique at least THREE of other student' final projects. The instructor will participate and ask each student questions based on their final project. Each student will need to respond to questions that are asked by classmates and the instructor regarding their final papers. The evaluation of this presentation will be based on how well students ask and respond to questions.

It is necessary that each person should write a short paragraph to describe their final project that gives the classmates a good overview on Delicious bookmark and a good idea what to review and evaluate. It is particularly useful if one has special components that one would like to point out.

Open Forum

Learners in an active learning process are responsible for their learning and feel that this responsibilities is very important! You are encouraged to submit discussion questions that you feel are important to be discussed in an Open Forum. Please forward your discussion questions to the instructor for approval first. Participation in the Open Forum is required as is our class discussion (2 Points). Four messages are required. Do not miss this opportunity! Questions

    • Share your learning experiences in applying unstructured (Team governance, Assignment 1 & 2 Distance Learning Theoretical Framework I & II) & structured (Web 2.0 Learning Environments)Wiki to create collaborate project.

    • Share you learning experiences in applying Diigo to annotate and evaluate students' projects.

    • Share your thoughts on the collaborative evaluations (self evaluation, and peer evaluation).

    • Share your thoughts on the team moderations.

    • In Lesson 2, we had very interesting discussions on structures vs. guidance. We may notice that our course designs are fairly different from other graduate level courses. What are you reflections on the course designs?

    • In the beginning of the semester, we research, organize, and define our own DE framework. Now you should have much better understanding in DE literature, research, and framework etc.

    • Let’s review our group DE framework, discuss will you update and modify your DE framework? If yes, why? If not, why not?
