My Political Compass is far left and strongly libertarian. I am NOT so far left as to support communism. NOR am I so far south as to support anarchy. AND I am NOT far enough north to be a socialist. I like the phrase, libertarian left.
Most voters who self identify as Democrat, Green or Independent score left and libertarian. Oddly, the staff at the Political Compass scored most of the Democratic presidential candidates, such as Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris well to the right and authoritarian.
Republicans, like Donald Trump, Mike Pence and John Kasich score much farther to the right and far stronger authoritarian than most self identified Republican voters.
Bernie Sanders and Tulsi Gabbard are the only Democratic candidates who score somewhat left and somewhat libertarian. Elizabeth Warren scores farther left and less authoritarian than most Democratic candidates, but still to the right and north of the center lines and . And Andrew Yang scores considerably less authoritarian than most Democratic candidates (almost libertarian) and well to the right of center.
