I-66 Expansion

FAM Construction will be performing unplanned work to demolish the damaged retaining wall adjacent to the ramp from Route 28 North to I-66 East during the overnight hours of Wednesday, June 24. The work requires multiple lane closures to perform the work safety and will involve the use of loud machinery from 9:30pm to 4am. Thursday night will be reserved as a backup if the work cannot be completed on Wednesday night.

The Englewood Mews Board of Directors held a Special Meeting on November 19, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss the I-66 expansion project that will affect the Englewood Mews Community. Representatives from VDOT, Fairfax County DOT, and Bowman Consulting gave a project update and answered questions.
Over the last few months, the Board and the Special Projects Committee have been working on this diligently to understand the impact the expansion will have on Englewood Mews.
During this special meeting we reviewed the architectural plans and discussed the proposal the board received from VDOT. Homeowners asked important questions and provided valuable input.
The board will be continuing conversations with VDOT to achieve the best possible outcome for the community. Once we come to an agreement, we will provide details to homeowners.
