College is infinitely more than a mere institution, and a college education is more than a printed degree—a mean through which one gets a leg up in society and the economy. Education and the pursuit of knowledge are a lifelong journey—a ceaseless, ever-expanding road that runs parallel to that of aspiration. A college education equips one with the tools and armor they need to stand in the wake of the world and to fulfill their dreams in the most astounding sense. One might then wield what is deemed necessary for what they desire to do. It is not a matter of a simple piece of paper to make a claim on a career path for mere pecuniary gain. Expansion of individualism, self-consciousness, and the sharpening of one’s potential—these are the raw things a college education presents. The reason it does not entirely matter where an individual attends college—so long as they attend—is that college is beyond a definite place; it is no certain location. It is the vessel through which one might discover more of themselves, through which one might become that which they seek. A college education is an endless circle. One continuously learns and learns how to give so that they might offer their own know-how to others and, perhaps, pass it along through still yet another institution. A college education is a great road muddled with trials and tribulations—deadlines and dedication—but it points to a truth. Though much is demanded, the reward is beyond comprehension in the end—far outweighing cost and time. This journey on which one is to embark is the most certain way to pull from the very core of being and unleash the capacity one has always held beneath the surface.
