Depth Map Project

Hats off to Trustee Nathan Vary and Oren Weiss , who conducted a topographical survey of the bottom of Eagle Lake on August 28, 2016 with the use of a depth finder and GPS system. With these measurements we will create a map to give us a better understanding of the underwater topography, and make our future plans accordingly. Special thanks go out to EHT residents Michael and Matthew Portnoy, who provided the boat, Ray Horton owner of Interstate Batteries on Reega Ave. for loaning a battery, and especially the Gill family, owners of TackleDirect, located in the Heather Croft Center in EHT. They loaned the equipment to make it all possible. We truly appreciate their contribution and recognize them as "Friends of the Park".

In case you're wondering, this elevation marker was recently installed in the Lake near the beach by Nick Fasola, Trustee of the Nature Reserve Committee and Chairman of the Environmental Commission, to help us monitor the various water levels of Eagle Lake throughout the year.
