Development : 100% (Finished)
Released in : 2000
Platforms : Div2 (MS-DOS, Windows 95, Windows 98)
Gemix (Windows 9x, Windows XP, Windows Vista/7)
This program was initially conceived as a game destined to learn how to use DIV2. Nevertheless as we were advancing in its development, we started to take it more seriously, reprograming some part of the game several times, and finally after a year of work between three folks, gave like fruit the one that serious by that one age the best game of fight in DIV2.
In photos and at first sight it can seem far worst than Sesqui Fighter, but don't let it fool you: this actually has real playability, options for three languages, Gore leveling options, a system that speaks and insults to the player according to the state of the combat, nine characters well balanced, proper special moves, some innovating playability details, art gallery, etc…
Their main defects come from our ignorance by that time about the DIV and programing in general, the absence of grab moves, and a limited playability if we compared it to professional games.
Another reason that prompted us to make this game was a disagreement I had with a friend from that time. What in other towns was settled with a beating in a vacant lot, we resolved through the form of a character in the game (the OFS). Ken and Terry were included because of the considerable favoritism the OFS showed these characters when playing Street Fighter and Fatal Fury.
These are some criticisms that we received from the community:
My first impression: After a pretty intro, and to see delirious gallery (God bless Noritaka! You bunch of wierdos...lol) I begin the game, I choose Ken with the hope that it woudn't be a cheap rip-off, but a different interpretation, and what I found is a uber-pixelated SF2 Ken, who only does a hadoken each 3 tries, fighting against a rare fly half badly done that kicks my ass, so I exit the game and I read the manual. Now I understand that Ken is a little special with its attacks, I find out that they are 6 keys and not only 3 and I read the history…
Now I love it! LOL Who has never known people like Osf or Zoze? They are universal characters! (games centers are full of freaks), and in top of that you can find Noritaka as a secret character! LOL. Furthermore technically isn't so bad
La Momia que Fuma, 2004
This game was originally development for Div2, and for that reason it won't run in a computer that does not have an older Windows version than XP. Maybe with the DOS-BOX it would be possible to run, but to put the things ever more difficult this game was compiled for Pentium-only...
Luckily I found the lost original sources in an old CD recently and I made a new version in Gemix. I did not fix any bug to conserve the essence of the original, though I added extra support so now it's possible to be played with two controls at the same time. I let you two versions to download, but logically I can only recommend the GEMIX version, due to its better portability.
