Brief Bio:
Jairo A. Paredes received his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from the Universidad del Cauca, Popayán, Colombia; his master in Civil Engineering from the Universidad de los Andes, Bogotá, Colombia; and his doctoral degree in Computational Mechanics at the Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña, Barcelona, Spain. Currently, he works as an associate professor at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Manizales branch.
His research interest are nonlinear analysis of structures, damage constitutive models for brittle materials, finite element analysis of historic structures, brick arch bridges, among others.
