eaH is one of the most active technical associations in Hawaii meeting 24 times a year. eaH meets in person, via Zoom, field trips and publishes meetings on YouTube and Hawaii's Olelo Public TV channel 53. eaH is the oldest Engineering and Architectural association in Hawaii, founded 1902.

Clean Harbors was founded in 1980 and has grown into North America’s leading provider of environmental and industrial services and its largest hazardous waste disposal company. Eamonn will talk about their Hawaii projects and services.

Speaker: Tom Anuesewiez - Retired Aviation Consulting
Topic: What does the Future Hold for Seaplanes?
Tom returns to eaH. Tom Anuesewiez’s aviation career stated in 1967 in the U.S. Coast Guard where he was assigned to air stations flying in the Grumman Albatross (seaplane). Later he was the Assistant Director of Maintenance for Antilles Air Boats, maintaining various seaplanes that flew over 150 flights a day. After arriving in Hawaii in 1982, he continued to consult on seaplane operations. Today, he writes about them and keeps current on who is doing what. He maintains the WEBsite https://www.antillesairboats.com/ , which is packed with everything you’d want to know about Seaplanes current and past, the famous people involved and many stories.

Topic: Solar and Energy Storage Economics
John returns to eaH and will explain how low-income families, the “Have Nots” can lower their monthly utility bill by 39-90%, with 2-5 year paybacks and then Free Electricity for Life. His Molokai and Oahu case study examples of those that adopt residential Nano-Grid renewable energy systems i.e. Off-Grid Battery-Only or Off-Grid Battery + Balcony-Solar or Grid-Tie Solar + Battery demonstrate the Economics of this Energy Equity. However, this requires the Utilities bring back the option for residential daytime Time-of-Use rates of 15¢/kWh and educating families on best practices for home renewable energy use to maximize and sustain monthly utility bill savings including Direct Load Control with Smart Internet of Thing devices.

Subject: “The Silent War” John Craven (1924 – 2015)
John was an American scientist who was known for his involvement with Bayesian search theory and the recovery of lost objects at sea. He was Chief Scientist of the Special Projects Office of the United States Navy. He shares some of his experiences during the “Cold War” He was the Founder of the Common Heritage Corp.
