What we want from our life ?
We have only one life. Many don't know what they want to and what to expect from one's life ?
Most people vaguely say and want to be successful in their life . What does it means to be acknowledged as a successful life ? Is it brilliant educational career, big fat-salaried corporate jobs, plum managerial posts, good bank-balance, good health, big car and house, happily married with children, army of friends and relations, religious and spiritual attainments etc. or all of them. Having all may be a very rare case and be possible for a very few luckiest people or is almost impossible to get it. You may be luckiest of all , if to have secured marks 100/100 in all subjects, in all classes & examinations and at all the times. Who really got it ?
When I look around, I notice most of the people have achieved only any 2-3 parameters, as mentioned above. They are grumbling and have a big list of failures or unsuccessful stories. Some curse their friends-turned enemies, highly partial and selfish bosses, unfaithful wife and self-imposing greedy relatives, bad-stars and others.
There are a very few genuine people, who are though ambitious, but satisfied and happy in the given situations and have developed friendship with the adverse circumstances. They love and care about themselves, their professions and post-positions, family & friends, neighbors & city, country, their religion... easily mix-up with, both ready to get and give support to all who needs it. To me these are the true and most successful people... may be otherwise very ordinary.
I shall illustrate my above view points from the life and style from two great persons, both 107 years old, still kicking & thriving , busy, famous and Guinness World of Records holders...Probably they are unique and have no parallel.
A New York based , 107 years old barber, with name Mr. Mancinelli is cutting hair regularly since last 96 years. He was born in 1911 near Naples, Italy, and emigrated to U.S.A. with his family when he was only 8 years old. Mr. Mancinelli still working full time, 8 hours shift, cutting hair five days a week from noon to 8 P.M and a champ. of his saloon.
Mr. Mancinelli has a trim build, a steady hand and a full head of hair, albeit snow white. He has all his teeth and is on no daily medication, has never needed glasses. He drives to work, cooks his own meals, watches television and is adamantly self-sufficient. He still trims the bushes in his front yard with no help. He shops for himself, does his own laundry, pays his own bills — and most amazing just in the right state of mind. Many journalists ask about the reason of his longevity and good health and always his reply was being busy and simple, small food sizes.
In 2007, at a mere 96 years old, he was recognized by Guinness World Records as the oldest working barber. Since then, the commendations have rolled in — from local civic groups, elected officials and barbering companies — all congratulating him: 100 years, 101, 102, and so on. Mr. Mancinelli just keeps outdating the awards.
One reason he continues to work, he said, is that it helps him stay busy and upbeat after the death of his wife of 70 years, Carmella, 14 years ago. He visits her grave daily before work. The new York Times recently had an article about Mr. Mancinelli. The link is as below:

The second Person is famous centenarian and a champion runner, 107 years old : Mr. Fauja Singh.
Mr. Fauja Singh born 1 April 1911, is a British Sikh centenarian marathon runner of Punjabi Indian descent. He and his three older siblings were raised in Punjab, India. He started running after the sad death of his wife, son, and daughter (all during a two-year period in the early 1990s), at the ripe age of 85. Dejected from his then life, he left India and migrated to England and turned to running for solace.
He has beaten a number of world records in multiple age brackets, but none of his times have been ratified as records. His current personal best time for the London Marathon (2003) is 6 hours 2 minutes, and his marathon record, for age 90-plus, is 5 hours 40 minutes at the age of 92, at the 2003 Toronto Waterfront Marathon.
In 2004, he was featured in an advertising campaign for sportswear manufacturer Adidas alongside David Beckham and Muhammad Ali. Adidas retained him with a salary of one Million British Pound.
Mr. Singh holds UK records for the 200 M, 400 M, 800 M, Mile and 3000 M for his age group, records all set within a single 94 minute period.
At the age of 100, Singh attempted and accomplished eight world age group records in one day, at the special Ontario Masters Association Fauja Singh Invitational Meet, held at Birchmount Stadium in Toronto, Ontario Canada. Timed by officials in Canada, he ran the 100 Meter in 23.14, 200 Meter in 52.23, the 400 Meter in 2:13.48, the 800 Meter in 5:32.18, the 1500 Meter in 11:27.81, the mile in 11:53.45, the 3000 Meter in 24:52.47 and the 5000 Meter in 49:57.39, setting five world records for his age group in one day. Some events had no previous record holder, as nobody over age 100 had ever attempted the distance. Some of his marks are significantly superior to the listed world record in the M95 age group as well.
Three days later, on 16 October 2011, Singh became the first 100-year-old to finish a marathon, completing the Toronto Waterfront Marathon in 8:11:06. As it took him over 14 minutes after the gun to cross the starting line, the official time submitted for the age group record will be 8:25:17.
Some don't have audacity to face the adverse current of bad circumstances and give up either by attempting to suicide or lose interest in his own life.
Man may be envious to these records and its holders. How many marks you would like to give these two gentlemen and How much to your own self ??.
