Student Directed One-Act Info

One-Act Directing Applications:

Due November 18^th NO EXCEPTIONS

Directors will be selected via a point system which works as follows:

· School Attendance Rating: 100 Points (Mrs. Shafer handles this step.)

· Grades: 100 Points (Mrs. Shafer handles this step.)

· The Two Teacher Recommendations included in the packet:

50 Points (25 points each)

· Rating From DHS Staff: 25 Points (Mrs. Shafer handles this step. An e-mail is sent to staff members asking for a 1-10 rating on any student who submits a complete application by 11/18)

· Anonymous Peer Rating Form: 25 Points (students who wish to be involved in the one-acts were asked to give positive feedback on potential directors)

· Mrs. Shafer’s Rating: 50 Points (QUALITY OF APPLICATIONS, THEATRE CLASSES TAKEN, SELECTION OF PLAY, RESPECT, ABILITY TO FOLLOW PROTOCOL AND DIRECTIONS, LEADERSHIP POTENTIAL)

Total Points: 350

Those with the highest score will be the one-act directors. Any applicant who would like to go over their score with Mrs. Shafer after the directors are announced may schedule a time to do so.

Directors will be announced before December 1^st.
