In this class we begin to practice with process definitions and with modeling our first processes.
First, we introduce the modeling environment, in our case that is Signavio.
The instructor creates a workspace and shares it with everybody in the class.
Then, we go through the environment and show how a process can be modeled. The rest of the class is in essence exercises.
Because we have only seen few BPMN constructs thus far, the examples will be fairly simple, but enough to become familiar with the basics.
if there is room for more, we can anticipate some of the content of lesson 3 here.

Here are some example exercises we can do
Draw the same processes as in chapter 2 of the book (this is just to practice with the tool)
Try to imagine and draw the process you use to cook your favorite food. This is done in three steps
Try to describe the process in words
Model the process
Reflect on the process you have modeled, and list down all aspects where you think the process model and constructs you know till now have been too "strict", or too imprecise
To share the processes with colleagues, create a folder with your name in the shared documents tab, and specifially within the "Lab 1" subfolder that the instructor has created, and put the process there
