Notes on the Bass

The Bass (guitar) is tuned like the last 4 strings of a guitar, just several octaves lower.

It is used to provide a rhythmic and harmonic framework for a piece of music.

There are 4-string, 5-string, and 6-string basses, but we are showing here only the 4-string bass.

The following table shows the standard tuning for the Bass (guitar):

To produce different notes, press a string on one of the frets with the left hand, and pluck it with the right hand.
