Design and Create a healthy Cereal Box

For this term´s project, you will have to design and create your own cereal box. It must be a healthy cereal that gives you people a healthy start to the day. You will have to research what contributes a healthy breakfast, and what food we should be eating in the morning. What you are doing in Science will help you with this. You will also have to create you own cereal brand, slogan, logo and everything that goes with the Cereal.

CRITERIA A - INQUIRY AND ANALYSIS

Part 1 - Intro

To get an insight into cereal boxes, you must find 5 existing cereal boxes and describe them in no more than 300 words each, use as many images as you can to help you, find what the boxes have on each side of them.

They have used the Tiger mascot and it is now more famous than the name of the cereal, so much so, that they have actually changed the name from Frosties to Frosted Flakes, that not many people recognised. People see the famous blue box with the cartoon Tiger, and put it in their basket and buy it.

What famous logos do you know? What make them famous? Find some pictures and describe them? Do they all have something in common? Their colours? Do they have a logo, an image, a slogan? How have they changed over time? Why?

Criteria D – Evaluation

How did the project go? What did you do? Any problems?

Talk about each criteria. What did you learn? How did each criteria help you? Your product, how does it look? Are you happy with it? Did you meet all the criteria in the design specification? What do your friends think? What changes do they think you could make? Could you see the cereal in the shops? Compare your box to 2 of your friends´.
