The design cycle sets the framework and path for students to follow when solving problems and creating solutions. The design cycle is broken down into four main areas:
Inquiry and Analysis - This is where students work to better understand the problem and challenge they face. They use research and other tools to help them come up with ideas on what a successful solution would entail.
Developing Ideas - Here students will use their knowledge and creativity to design and draft potential solutions. They'll then take the best of these ideas and plan out the steps and resources needed to achieve their goal.
Creating the Solution - Students will follow the plans they made to actually make the product they designed using appropriate tools and resources to the best of their ability.
Evaluating - To end the project, students will evaluate the success of their product/solution as well as reflect on what they learned through the entire process.
All areas carry the same amount of marks so are therefore ALL as important as each other.
