"I wasn't bad here in australia, but I suffered from my pedals having a problem. The brake was sometimes stuck at 1.2%, especially in the beginning. I was driving laps sometimes 1.5s slower than usual. but it was random.
I had duct4 because i didn't understand why brakes wear so much...I almost lost brakes at the end!
I surely could have done better...Anyway the competition is very tight and it's not easy to qualify! It's amazing how it changed in two years..."
Practice
"Less practice than usual, but with a better base setup and I was able to go fast enough quickly. Then unfortunately I couldn't improve laptimes i was doing after just 50/250 laps"
Qualy
"I was doing quick easily 14.3 to 14.0 but i couldn't do better than 14.6! Pressure I guess"
Race
I was under a lot of pressure of White, who was really faster than me. I could hold him for 15 laps until Pakhodnia had spun and I lost less time than White. I was losing a lot of speed in comparison with practice.
After first pitstop I had more confidence in my car and was able to go a little faster. Schonbeck was behind me but in 3rd stint he had much more confidence and was catching me 1s per lap! He ended at 1s behind me, pfiou!
It's again a good week-end for Roaldo Racing. I'm happy Huis and Gosling scored that good result, a shame that Huis did this mistake at the end."
Big drama, on the track I like so much ! Werdermuller tries an impossible manouver...most probably he forgot to brake. He takes me off track and destroys completely my car. Race over after 7 laps!
"Started practice sunday morning on brand new track. I had to make 100 laps to be able to score decent laptimes :S Then i made another 50 for race practice and that was it, time to race!
Quals went quite fine, decent laptime.
Race "ended" in turn 2-3 when there were cars all over the place. Costed me about 50s all in all, plus parts remained yellow.
From this moment I was all alone at last position, almost to the end. The only thing i had to pay attention to were blue flags :S
I was able to get through Richards, but unable to catch Pakhodnia. P10 was really better than what I expected, but less than what I want.
The problem is that to obtain a good result, you have to practice too much time. I used to PLAY rFactor, and have FUN. Last 2 races I did, I practiced only sunday morning before the race because I didn't want/couldn't do more."
With Silverstone, Spa is my favourite track. Qualifications went as usual, around 15th. The race was solid, no mistakes. I took benefit of the mistakes of other people to score very valuable points!
"Like last couple of races, I only started practice sunday morning...but turned out to be again a great result.
In quals I was 'lucky', even on P18. P23 was only .1 behind me! With the penalties I found myself on 13th spot.
On the start of the race there was a little mess from which I took benefit. I was P8 on lap4 thanks to incidents, under Bengtsson's pressure. He overtook me in parabolica, but with my great topspeed I regain position. Unfortunately, I made a mistake and broke too late. Under the panic, I didn't react very well, and spun in T1. I was p16 again!
Then I was several laps under pressure of Bolier. He was able to overtake me, but I regained my position a few turns later. It was a very exciting battle, as he was putting a lot of pressure (especially from lap 45 to 50), but then his brakes faded and I could breathe again for my final laps.
Two last results are the best of the season, and the battle in championship for a spot in top8 will be very tight."
Practice
"50 laps sunday morning, with my usual base setup. No change except wings and gear ratio. I found myself in an OK speed for the race."
Quals
"The field is very close, I'm 16th but everybody has pretty much same speed!"
Race
"In lap 1 there is a bit mess (like usual, I can copy-paste my postrace comments tongue.gif). Bono got hit and in next corner goes out and carry me with him. Got hit in front and rear, but got really no damage (almost). I just turn off the "repair all" in the LCD to avoid losing time in the pits.
I'm P20 or sth, and drive a solid race. No mistakes, a couple of overtakes and almost catch Barbosa.I keep an interesting place in the standings, and I hope to be as high as possible"
Practice
"All in all I did less than 100 laps, again. It worked fine for last races, but I know I could be a bit faster. Normally I take my base setup, but this time I went on with team setup from lap1. I don't see much difference..."
Quals
"A good lap, but position is not so great. I lose a lot in S3, I don't know how to take those turns"
Race
"Amazing fight between 5 or even 6 cars. 2 seconds separate us. I'm at the back of those cars so I'm "waiting" to see what happens. Finally I put also myself in the battle. Good moments with Puumalainen, and then I pass Stroud. Unfortunately, 2 turns later he tries to get his position back and hits me. I lose a few secs to rejoin, my car has no visible damage. I have to turn off "repair" in the LCD though.
Another moment is when I pass Richards for p11, he makes a little mistake I think. We have same speed so he cannot reach me again, and stays at about 3s.
Difficult race, but more people than usual finish it...which means worse position for me. I keep finishing race and collecting points, which puts me in provisionnal P7 in the standings."
"Catastrophic week-end! I knew I had a stable setup with stable laptimes, but not very fast.
Things started to go bad in formation lap, where I've been hit from behind causing damage on my rear wing.
But things went really bad on the grid, where the car was going forward on neutral. I pressed brakes to avoid penalty, but when the lights went off I messed my pedals and stalled.
The cars behind me managed to avoid me, and it was over. DNF all by myself. Very frustrating as it's only the second time in my career!
I needed 1h to get over it :P
Barbosa took P7 and is in good position to keep it."
"This race was one of the most fun of the season. It had everything in it: from the back gaining positions, being overtaken and overtaking, battles, ...
Practice
"To be able to do P7 in the final standings, I had to beat Barbosa. With that in mind, I started practice early and did more laps than last races. I also wanted to show I could go faster. I did 230 laps practice to feel ready."
Quals
"Disaster, couldn't put a good lap and I start from the back. With positions so close, I had to do a good lap to be more up in the grid. Hopefully Barbosa has a penalty and starts behind me.
Race
"First corners are hard, with cars spinning here and there which allow me to regain some positions. Barbosa overtook me, probably in L1/T1 and is in front of me. There are several cars very close in front of me, so it's useless to attack hard. I prefer to wait a few laps to see how it evolves, and avoid stupid incident. I was right since a few laps later some cars did incidents, and the track was clear in front. Only Barbosa remaining. I put a lot of pressure on him, because I had to pass. With a great topspeed, I got him very easily in the straight.
Finishing in front of him was not enough, and I couldn't gain 2 more positions which were necessary. Suddenly, Barbosa loses a position and it gives me hope again. I push like hell, and thanks to very fast pitstops, I rejoin Werdermuller. By putting pressure on him, he's slower than in first stint. I make several attempts, but he defends well. 2 laps from the end I decide to take more risks, because a position in final standings is in the play! I take the inside at the end of sector1 and pass!
What a finish. I really earned my P7 in final standings! It was one of the races where I was most competitive, and I'm happy to bring a good result.
Of course, congrats to my friends Gosling, and Huis. And all the team that participated in those great results.
Future
"My future is still in Ace, and from what I know Roaldo Racing has already plenty of good (faster) drivers...so any offer I would receive would be considered."
