Rules of Play
Rules of play are high school rules with the following exceptions.
Four eight-minute periods, official clock throughout; one 3-minute overtime period allowed for regular season games. Unlimited 3 minute overtime periods for tournament games
The three point shot is in effect.
Three, one minute & 2, 30-second timeouts may be used in a regulation game with one additional timeout in the overtime period. Unused timeouts may be accumulated and used during overtime play.
Two carded referees; 29.5 sized basketball will be used for boys and 28.5 for girls.

Players may go over the foul line after release of the ball, but not for the purpose of gaining an advantage for a rebound
Pressing is allowed during the last four minutes of the fourth quarter and overtime periods only. All other times, the ball may not be touched by the defense in their front court.
Three coaches are allowed on the bench during games. Only one coach is allowed to stand at any time.
Start time – games will start at the scheduled time. If a team is not present and ready to begin within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time the game will be forfeited.
<<NEW>> All players must play EQUAL TIME during regular season games.
Game times will be at 7:30pm, or as scheduled – all teams must be present at courtside at 7:15pm.
There will be a minimum warm-up &/or rest period as follows.
1) 5 minute warm-up time before a game
2) 1 minute rest periods between quarters
3) 5 minute rest &/or warm-up period between halves
3 . Any coach or player that receives two technical fouls in a game will be suspended for the following game, regular season or playoffs. Further incidents will lead to possible expulsion from the league.
4. Mercy Rule: When a team is up by 15 points, or more, the team that is up will not be able to press at any time.This rule will not apply for tournament games.
