How it got started,

My favorite movies as a kid had to be Kelly's Heroes and Battle of the Bulge. The tanks were impressive. Large lumbering behemoths, capable of crushing buildings, walls, and trees. Battling from great distances. 

The Abrams, when it first appeared, was amazing. It outperformed all other tanks in its day. I was hooked. What a tank!

It has been an obsession of mine, since early on, to own a tank. The real tanks are 40+ tons and requires special equipment to maintain, store, and transport. Logistics (reality kicks in here) dictate this to be impractical for the average person (me).

An alternate solution was needed. 

The task was to create a 1/3 scale prototype which could be enjoyed without all that specialty support equipment. It has taken over 6 years (now 21) to come to this point plus 3 years of research prior to that. Actual hours spent on this project total over two thousand. 

It all begins with a dream.
