Some dances are hard to write and go through lots of iterations before they work, but this one was easy. At a wedding I was calling some years ago, I realised that the bride had the same first name as my brother's then-girlfriend-now-wife. This was too good an opportunity to miss; I wrote this dance in the interval, and called it in the second half without telling them the whole back story... It worked straight out of the can, and when a few years later I called it for the purpose it was actually intended, it was completely unchanged.
