32 bar improper contra
If possible, dance this with an odd number of couples in each line (i.e. as many sets of hands four from the top as you want, plus an extra couple at the bottom).
Start in a line of four facing up, with the 2s between the 1s (the reverse is more usual, but this way the 1s lead the first time).
A1: Lead up, turn alone
Lead back down and bend the line; 1s face 1st corner
A2: 1s allemande 1st corner RH 9/8, 2nd corner LH 7/8
1s allemande partner RH 3/4, 3rd corner LH 7/8
B1: 1s allemande 4th corner RH 9/8, partner LH 5/8 to face shadow up/down the dance
1s do si do shadow and come back to partner
B2: 1s Balance and swing parner, moving down to finish between next 2s.
(If they want to the 2s can join in the swing, but they need to break early).
The second time through the dance, we start with the 1s between the 2s, the line leads down rather than up, and the 2s lead throughout.
