7. Alojamiento / Accommodation
Por ley, todos los hoteles y albergues de Berna cobran un impuesto "turístico" de CHF 5.30 por persona por noche. Se agregará dicho monto a su factura al final de su estadía. A cambio, recibirá un Bern Ticket que le permitirá viajar gratis en transporte público en las zonas 100/101. Si lleva consigo una copia de su reserva de hotel o albergue, su viaje desde la estación de trenes a dicho lugar también está cubierto el día de su llegada.

Otras opciones
Otra opción es usar Airbnb. Recomendamos cualquiera de los siguientes barrios (localmente conocidos como “Quartiere”): Länggasse (que es donde se encuentran la universidad y el lugar de la conferencia), Monbijou, Kirchenfeld, Breitenrain y Lorraine. Sus anfitriones pueden o no cobrar el impuesto "turístico" y, por ende, proporcionarles el Bern Ticket. Al no contar con este billete, su mejor opción es comprar un billete de varios viajes (“Mehrfahrtenkarte”) que vale por 6 viajes cortos o largos (pregúntele a sus anfitriones cuál comprar). Estos billetes de varios viajes cuestan o CHF 13 o CHF 25. Por supuesto, se puede optar por ir a pie (¡Berna no es tan grande!).
All Bern hotels and hostels are obliged to charge a “tourist” tax of CHF 5.30 per person per night. This will be added to your bill at the end of your stay. In return, you will be given a Bern Ticket which lets you travel for free on public transport in zones 100/101. If you carry a copy of your hotel or hostel booking, you are also covered for the journey from the main station to your hotel or hostel on the day of arrival.

Other options
Another option is to use Airbnb. We recommend any of the following neighborhoods (aka “Quartiere”): Länggasse (which is where the university and conference venue are), Monbijou, Kirchenfeld, Breitenrain, and Lorraine. Individual hosts may or may not charge the tourist tax and, therefore, provide you with the Bern Ticket. Your best bet otherwise is to buy a multi-ride ticket (“Mehrfahrtenkarte”) which gives you 6 short or long rides – check with your host which you will need. These multi-ride tickets will cost you either CHF 13 or CHF 25, respectively. Of course, you can always choose to walk (Bern is not that big!).
