Installation - Windows 7
The latest version of CryptoCrack can be downloaded from the button below. This will download the CryptoCrack program to your default download folder.
You may see a warning that "CryptoCrack_v3.1.0.zip is not commonly downloaded and may be dangerous". Click on the arrow then Keep to download it to your default Download folder.
Once downloaded:
Locate and extract the CryptoCrack.exe file from the CryptoCrack.zip file and place it in a folder of your choice.
Before running the program download the data files containing the dictionary files and language files from the links below.

All_Languages_Dictionary_and_Data.zip
Contains English and foreign language dictionary and data files (English, Afrikaans, Catalan, Danish, Dutch, Esperanto, French, German, Italian, Latin, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish)
Required by all users wishing to solve both English and non-English ciphers.
English_Dictionary_and_Data.zip
Contains English dictionary and language data files
Required by all users wishing to solve only English ciphers
Setup
Create a new folder called CryptoCrack on your hard drive. This will contain the language and data files.
If you want to solve only English language ciphers then download the English_Dictionary_and_Data.zip file then unzip the files and place the folders in the CryptoCrack folder on your hard drive. Your folder structure should now look like this...

If you want to solve English and non-English language ciphers download the All_Languages_Dictionary_and_Data.zip files then unzip the files and place the folders in the CryptoCrack folder on your hard drive. The folder structure should look like this...

CryptoCrack is now ready to run. The location of the language and dictionary folders will need to be setup in the Options window in CryptoCrack (Tools -> Options) before you can use CryptoCrack.

Uninstall CryptoCrack
CryptoCrack can be uninstalled by deleting the CryptoCrack.exe program along with CryptoCrackOptions.xml and MRUFiles.xml files.
In addition to these any language data files and dictionary files installed should be deleted.
