Lorraine Gustin, 90 years young and a life-long Ossining resident passed away April 1, 2015, at her daughter, Joy’s, home in Conyers, Georgia. Lorraine worked as a secretary in the guidance department of Ossining High School for many years. Predeceased by her husband, Robert, brother Frederick Crisfield and sisters Edith Anderson, Carol MacMenamin, Elizabeth Eberlein and Vivienne Rauschkolb. Lorraine is survived by her daughters, Donna Lee (John) Aery, Joy Carol Eade; sons, Eric (Catherine) and Karl (Christy); her grandchildren Alison (Brian) Gallant, Jessica Aery, Robert Aery, Clifford Eade, Andy (Christal) Eade; and great-grandchildren, Conner Eade and Hayden Eade. Also, her sister, Gladys Sinning; and brothers, Richard (Catherine) Crisfield and Robert Crisfield; and brothers-in-law John MacMenamin, Paul Eberlein and Joseph Rauschkolb, as well as many nieces and nephews. A private memorial celebrating Lorraine’s life will be held in late summer.

Uncle Bob Gustin and Karly summer 2002Robert S. Gustin of Ossining died at his home on September 14, 2007 from cancer. He was a graduate of Ossining High School and the Drake School of Architectural Drafting. Robert served in the Navy during WWII aboard the USS President Adams, an amphibious troopship, which saw action in many major island invasions in the South Pacific from Guadalcanal to Iwo Jima. Robert was involved in the Boy Scouts of America when his children were young where he became a Committeeman and Assistant Scout Master. He was also involved in organizations dealing with education and was a member of the local Board of Education. He is survived by his wife Lorraine of 61 years, four children; Donna Aery (John) of Yorktown Hgts, Joy Eade of Conyers Georgia, Eric Gustin (Catherine Sales) and Karl Gustin (Christine) of Ossining, five grandchildren; Clifford, Andrew, Alison, Jessica and Robert, two great-grandchildren; Connor and Hayden, brother Alvin Gustin of Pouquag, sister Viola DiVitto of Colorado, several sisters and brothers-in-law and nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Leach & Thomas Inc. 32 State Street Ossining on Friday September 28th at 11AM.
