From 2015 to 2018, I attended Suffolk County Community College, where I developed a strong foundation in television and video production. Although I spent just two years as a Suffolk Shark, the program provided me with valuable hands-on experience across a wide range of production roles.

During my time at Suffolk, I became proficient in:

Camera operation (including handheld and studio cameras)
Control room roles such as Assistant Director and Technical Director
On-air talent, serving as a news anchor for studio productions
3Play Replay Operator during live basketball broadcasts—a position where I particularly excelled, managing

in-game replays with precision and timing

In addition to live broadcasting, I worked hard to strengthen my post-production skills. One of my proudest projects from this period was a feature story on standout baseball player Jeff Towle, which I produced, shot, and edited as part of my coursework.

After graduating with my Associate’s Degree in Radio & Television Production, I transferred to SUNY Fredonia to continue my education and pursue a Bachelor’s degree in video production and broadcast media.

Feature Story

This feature story highlights Jeff Towle, the standout catcher for the Suffolk County Community College baseball team. I shot and edited this piece as part of my coursework in early 2018.

In the video, Jeff opens up about his journey before college, reflects on a historic season, and shares his outlook on the team as they prepared for the playoffs. The project showcases my skills in:

Interview filming and audio capture
B-roll coordination and storytelling
Post-production editing, including graphics and music sync

This was one of my earliest solo projects and an important step in developing my storytelling voice and technical skills as a video producer.

3Play Operation

This highlight reel covers one of the most intense games of the 2018 NJCAA Region 15 Men's Basketball Tournament, which went into double overtime. Editing this fast-paced, high-stakes game into a concise, under-three-minute highlight package was a major challenge—but also a turning point in my development as an editor.

The experience sharpened my ability to:

Select key moments under time pressure
Tell a compelling story through pacing, transitions, and music
Work efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines

This project gave me the confidence to handle live-game content quickly and creatively—skills that I continue to apply in every production I work on.
