Facilitator Training

Here you can find ideas for lessons for facilitators. A facilitator is a person who leads a group in crafting a story. These lessons can help them to understand more about why we tell stories, and what makes a good story.

People who will want to use ideas from these lessons have to adjust them to their own situation.

1. Why we tell stories

2. Accurate, clear, natural, retellable

3. What is crafting

4. Simplification and amplification

5. What is a good story

6. Story testing and review

7. Panorama and theme

Facilitator growth plan

Underneath is an example of a growth plan and a check list that can help keep track of facilitator's development. In some projects, stories are not documented and checking happens only orally. Several parts of the facilitator growth plans will not be applicable for such situations.
