Manuals
Manuals for Trainers
These manuals are for trainers. The Beginners' phase manual helps trainers to teach people how to craft stories with the help of model stories. The Advanced phase manual guides trainers through the process of teaching people to craft directly from the Bible. (see the Project Outline page for an explanation about the different phases). There is also a Combi-manual which includes more technical details, for instance about using using SayMore software.
Manuals for Storytellers
The Storytellers manual is meant for participants in storytelling projects. It gives ideas how to use the stories in discussion groups and for outreach.
The content should be first shared with participants orally, eg in the form of skits and group discussions. Giving the printed manual is optional.
An English as well as a (draft) Hindi version is available. (Please note: the Hindi version seems to have problems with the font when opening the document through this website, but once you have downloaded it, these issues will disappear).
The Crafting manual for Storytellers is a simpler version of the crafting manual for trainers, suitable for Storytellers who have gone through the whole training and will now be leading their own crafting sessions in their own church or community.
Manuals for an Introductory workshop
This manual is useful for trainers who need to lead a one-off workshop about Biblical storytelling, for instance in a church or among Bible school students. Trainers can use this manual to guide their teaching, and participants can take the manual home for referral afterwards.
Crafting with a church is a similar manual, with a focus on church groups.
