This is a "working site" where ideas for the Field School are developed. Once the instructors agree on the content, it will be moved to the "regular site."
The organization of this site is somewhat arbitrary -- certainly this page is not intended to be the home page for the "regular site."
Organizational Model
This conceptual model two types of camps:
Students are expected to rotate between the two camp types. The design does not preclude all the students being at one type of camp at the same time.

Problems
The student "projects" are oriented around "problems." The core of the Problem-Based philosophy is to not provide too much information about the problem. Defining the actual problem and how it will be solved is part of what the students have to do.

The Camps
Boy Scout Camp (Kokee)
This is an excellent site. It is not too far off the road (10 minute walk). There may be problems getting in and out with a van if it is raining (4WD should be great).
The restroom facilities are pit toilets. There are covered, open buildings which should allow daytime work if it is raining. There is a good water supply and maybe some electricity.
A campfire pit is on-site, but a DLNR fire pit will need to be obtained.
