So far this semester, we’ve approached the study of video games from two different angles. First, we looked at how individual games can express particular meanings. Then, we turned our attention outward to focus on discourse communities and genres around games to see how they construct meaning out of social situations. In the third project, we will turn to a more direct application of academic and societal communication in order to address the needs of more complex writing tasks. At the same time, it is my full intention to give you reasonably free range on how you design and pursue this third project.
So let’s start with the constraints:

Annotated Bibliography
Approximately 3-4 pages long
Due: Saturday, Nov. 2 by 11:59 p.m. – Also post this to your site so I can check in on your progress
7 sources if all secondary, 5 sources if primary sources will be used, but an explanation of the primary sources should be included. Each source should have 1) a brief summary paragraph and 2) a brief paragraph evaluating the sources usefulness (or lack thereof) for the project
Also include a brief introduction paragraph comparing the sources
You don’t need to cite all these sources in your final project. Think of this more as a resource and exploration.
